The Caretaker serves as a steward of QCIC’s mission, not by working alone, but by moving in harmony with the Body of Christ—a network of decolonial partners, community members, and vision-carriers placed in her path by divine design. Together, they bring forth QCIC’s work through collaborative leadership, faith-driven action, and collective wisdom.

This is not a top-down leadership model—it is an orchestrated movement where each person, as a distinct part of the Body, fulfills their role to advance QCIC’s mission. The Caretaker’s work is made possible through this collective assembly, ensuring that leadership remains faith-led, community-powered, and rooted in action.

The board does not govern from a place of authority but serves as a support system—a group of vision-holders who guide, uplift, and reinforce the mission as the Caretaker carries the work forward.

Pathfinder (President): Advisory and strategic direction alongside the caretaker.
Navigator (Chair of the Board): Ensures governance alignment and manages colonial partnerships.
Truth-Seeker (Secretary): Holds space for truth, transparency, and integrity.
Conductor (Vice-Chair): Leads Lyrics Literacy and supports the Equity in Education mandate.
Resource Steward (Treasurer): Ensures ethical financial management and resource distribution.
Two Voting Co-Directors: Contributes their expertise and insight across all four mandates, ensuring the organization stays aligned with vision, mission, purpose, and intended impact.

BOARD OF DIRECTORS

DECOLONIAL DIRECTORSHIP

At QCIC, our leadership is a living ecosystem—designed to guide, nurture, and sustain a future rooted in justice, equity, and collective responsibility. Our governance moves beyond traditional hierarchies, centering decolonial leadership, restorative justice, and community-driven decision-making.

We are committed to decolonization, equity, and restorative justice, not through hierarchy, but through shared responsibility, faith, and collective action. Our leadership is assembled through divine alignment, where each person, partner, and supporter plays a unique and purposeful role in advancing this work.

To maintain continuity while welcoming fresh perspectives, we operate within rotating governance cycles, transitioning leadership through annual, three-year, five-year, and seven-year rotations. This ensures that QCIC remains adaptive, inclusive, and responsive to the evolving needs of the community while upholding its long-term vision.

it is written

"Just as we have many parts in one body — and all the parts do not have the same function — so we, who are many, are ONE in Christ and everyone parts of one another. We have gifts that differ according to the grace that was given to us.”
